Groove Agent and Dorico midi cc -> mute

Hi.
I’m trying to mute the hi-hats in the mixer in a GA5 pattern which contains a snare roll and hi-hats keeping time. I’d like to mute the hi-hat (for a duration or for all of the patterns length) in that measure. And then of course umute it.

Thanks for your help from a newbie.

Try selecting the notes and using Suppress Playback in the Properties Panel.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. The notes are not notated as one normally notates to trigger the pattern keyswitch. Dorico usus this popover (shift-0) which lets us input keyswitches. which is soooo cool.
I notate the written info for the drummer and suppress that.

My desire is to mute the inividual hi-hat mixer in GA5 ( idon’t believe D5 has that function on its mixture) or otherwise I would do it there.

I was thinking of on /off lane of automaton on a cc as the way to go, but how does GA5 listen for that. Am I thinking along the right path…

update: I have deleted the hi-hat from the pattern in GA5. found by clicking Pattern->edit->pattern.
