Groove Agent issue copying pads

Hi!

I have four different tracks in Cubase that I’m working on. I use a separate instance of Groove Agent for the drums. Yesterday I decided I wanted to combine them all into one instance using the entire keyboard.

I opened up a new project and loaded all four instances and copied all the different drums(kicks, snares, etc) into one instance and saved it. Worked like a charm.

However when I go back and load this particular song I’m working on, I start a new instance of Groove Agent and load this new kit, certain pads aren’t working. It appears that the pads I copied and pasted into the new instance don’t make sound, but the old ones do. I can play each new sound in the waveform editor, I can trigger the pads, just no sound comes out of these particular pads when I play them.

Anyone have any advice? I have to reload the kit every time to properly hear the sounds, but when I close and open the project this issue persists.

Thanks!

Still need help. It saved a couple of pads but the other ones just don’t seem to make sound. If I reload the kit fine, all the sounds play again, but I can’t do this every time I reboot my PC.

In this particular kit,

I copied several sounds across 4 groups of the kit. Only two pads play sounds (my snares), the rest of the drums I copied and pasted to don’t make sound :frowning:

Hi @Ryder !
Do I understand correctly that you created the drum kits yourself (Beat Agent mode)?

Edit:
And how did you copy the pads? Drag and drop from one Groove Agent to the other?

Hey there -

I created a Cubase project with all three of the kits that I had. From there I copied and pasted them.

I created a Groove Agent track to be the master one that I will use, then I used the keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste them(Ctrl+C & Ctrl + V).

Pardon me for sounding noobish, but what’s Beat Agent mode? All of my drums were synthesized that I sampled.
