GROOVE AGENT ONE IS CHANGING SAMPLES

Hello,

I’ve sliced up a recording into samples, and imported them into Groove Agent One.

The problem is: Groove Agent One is changing the sound of the samples. In the regular Cubase channel, each sample ends smoothly. In Groove Agent One, it ends with a nasty click.

Is it shortening / lengthening the samples?

Anybody else aware of this? Or better still, know how to fix it?

I expected GAO and Cubase to be more compatible!

Thanks

I take it you’ve played the individual slices in Cubase, ie as individual samples rather than one follwing the other?

What the click normally means is that your sample doesnt end on a zero-crossing.

You could either take down the decay a little in the GAOne or chop your samples up again with the zero crossing button ticked, or import the files to your favourite audio editor and do a tiny fade-out to each file.
