I recently upgraded from Cubase Elements 8. Initially, I had issues with Cubase 10; upon launching it I would either get a bluescreen (I have Windows 10), or the program would simply crash, or I wouldn’t be able to hear any audio; I’d always have to go back into 8 to continue working on any project. That being said, this was probably a driver issue as I had recently gotten a new audio interface.
Fast forward to now, Cubase 10 works fine until I launch an instance of Groove Agent. It will work for about a minute when I launch it, but then once I close it and come back to open that instance, my mouse freezes for a second before I get the crash message. I believe the same thing happened with Halion Sonic, although I rarely use it so I can’t recall exactly. Cubase 10 doesn’t crash when I load up any third party plugins like Nexus or Korg M1, and I also noticed that VSTs that didn’t come with Cubase Elements 8 (such as Retrologue) work just fine in both Cubase 8 and 10.
I suspect the issue has something to do with the upgrade, but it is frustrating to still be using Cubase 8 as my primary workstation despite upgrading two months ago.
