Getting a response and getting a solution are two different things. Anybody could sit there and answer questions for a paycheck. It just proves that Steinberg’s customer service has a flaw in their hiring mechanism. You need to hire people that are passionate about music and to know what it means to lose your work. They also need to respect the fact that if you lose somebody else’s work, you lose money. They should not be labeling this program as a professional engineering tool, because it clearly is not. I believe they need to focus on making this a professional tool, and save all the little gimmicks for something else.
It sure would be great if there was a single place (maybe the Hub?) that alerts you to updates to any components that are part of Cubase. Right now, I just periodically check the downloads on the Steinberg web site to see if there are any updates to things like GA, but that’s really tedious. Am I missing something??
