Groove Agent SE4 not syncing to variable tempo

I’ve got a variable tempo project, and have GASE4 running as well.

The project starts on bar 52. When I bring the play cursor there and start Cubase playback, right away GASE4 starts one beat ahead.

As the project moves on, it will go completely out of whack, jumping 50+ bars ahead, way behind, all randomly.

Throughout all this, the playback sounds fine, go figure!

Any ideas?

Am I the only one who has noticed this in GA 4SE (no tempo sync with variable tempo projects)?
