Group channels for rack instrument returns from Vienna Ensemble Pro

Hello,
I am using Cubase 12 Pro on a Mac, with Vienna Ensemble Pro. When I select several of the audio returns (they all belong to a rack instrument) from VEP, and right-click to add to a group, I do not have the option to “add selected channels to group.” Is this option only available for audio and instrument channels, not audio returns in a rack instrument?

The Instrument Return Channels are an Automation tracks in fact.

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to do so.

You can:

  • Select all of them in the Project window and route them to the existing Group channel while holding Alt+Shift.
  • Select all of them in the MixConsole window and route them to the existing Group channel while holding Alt+Shift.
  • Select all of them in the MixConsole window, right-click and click the Add Group Channel to Selected Channel option (this option is missing in the Project window, this improbably what you are searching for).

Yes, your third point is what I was looking for. It does work as expected in the MixConsole. Thank you for your help!
