Grouping rests

Dear friends,

I would like to group rests by metre 4/4. The automatically kind of grouping is like pic (1). How can I group that like in pic (2)? I used the vise for to group it. My current settings in notation options you can see in pic (3). Thanks!

Isn’t your time signature 2/2 or CutC?

If so, try to select it and switch on this property:

Where I can find this window, under shift + cmd + N or shift + cmd + E or shift + cmd + L?

This is the Properties Panel (the bottom panel). Cmd+8 opens it.

Oh, I had 2/2 and had to write ‘L’ostesso tempo 4/4’ so that it would be grouped correctly. Thank you whery much!

I’m glad it works!

Should you need it, there is also a Notation Option for this. The property I mentioned will apply only to the time signature you select, while the Notation Option will apply to the whole flow (useful if you have time signature changes and this one comes back several times, or if you want to save this as a default for future projects).
