I’m looking for a convenient way to enter position numbers using Roman numerals when entering guitar fingerings. Is the only way to do this by typing them as text? Or is there a trick to do this using the fingering input shortcut (SHIFT & F)? That would have the advantage of letting the cursor keep moving forward.
I think your choices are either staff text or playing techniques. Either one of those can be used without exiting note input, except that they need to be entered before the note, rather than after the note as with fingering.
Do a search on the forum for Andy Forrest - he has done a lot of work on making Roman numerals and Barre indications.
