Guitar Notation in Dorico 6?

Hi Altogether

I can not find slide from above/below into Note, leftHand Vibrato-Slow/Fast, PalmMute, Slide, Release Bend , left/rightHand Tapping , Slap, Pop, slide out Down/Upwards, most of the Spanish Rhythmic signs, deaded Notes.

Am i supposed to create all the missing Signs myself ?

And if I want to have it sound right do I have to mess with this Expression Maps ?

Did anybody write GuitarNotation successfully with Dorico ?

If so can i learn how to do it , so I do not have to use “Guitar Pro” anymore

I would be very very thankful if this could be possible in the Future.

Thank you very much

Hello Reto – here are some relevant sections in the manual that will point you towards how to create all kinds of guitar notations in Dorico:

I’ve always thought of slides between 2 notes as a type of slur, and put an “S” over the slur mark. Dorico has H and P for hammer-ons and pull-offs, but no S. There was a discussion of guitar slides here:

Yes. And it needs to have a Playback Technique associated with it! Just triggering Legato in the target VST doesn’t quite cut it, I’m afraid…

Thank you very much !

Thank you, so it needs some work I am afraid.

Thank you , i am afraid I have to put in some additional work so i get similar results like in Guitar Pro8, I mean GP8 is a really good Notation Software for Guitar but I need also everything for Orchestra as well which Dorico has, best would be if GP8 where built into Dorico

And is something like this possible in Dorico
