Bar 2 shows the result of choosing a spot where I want a pull-off for the guitarist. I chose Shift - O, entered po and got the correct marking (used the bottom panel to make the P disappear).
Bar 3 shows what happened using the exact same set of step for the next pull off. Dorico thinks I want to pull off from the lowest note in the chord to that E (first string open).
Any idea what’s happening?
Hi @mset, this is Dorico trying to set the slur to notehead side. You can flip the created slur selecting it and pressing F (and force it to the stem/beam side), and if desired position it in Engrave mode (as well as the P):
But I swear I tried that - and it flipped the slur but put it in a weird spot and then when I went to try to drag it into the right spot in Engrave mode it got all distorted! But now it worked. Thanks, I would not have thought to try again
As you see in my short video, I use the TAB key to move/cycle between the control points (and to deselect them all if I need to move the whole item), and then I use the shortcuts to move them. Dragging with the mouse instead can give very imprecise results 
While I have you and since you seem to be a guitar notation guy, do you have any idea how to independently move the ‘Capo’d chord symbol’ line down independently of the ‘main line’. I have been able to ask Dorico to automatically generate the symbols for the guitar player when she is capo 5 but there’s too much room between the lines and I can’t move the top line on it own?
