I’m trying to replicate a ‘swell’ marking on a whole note:
By default, Dorico gives me this:
I can’t move the ‘middle’ to align with the note.
It’s on every instrument, so needs to be done in all parts and the score.
I’ve always had to input 2 hairpins with a small gap between them. The middle anchor points only allow up/down positioning.
Yes. Looks like I’ll have to do this:
and then move them in Engrave mode.
I think that “Inflexion messa di voce” in engraving mode allows the required setting.
Ah. I always forget about that. However, the ‘gap’ needs to be slightly off-centre, or the left-hand hairpin disappears.
