1. The hairpin at the marked location isn’t dropping down like it does in the image above. What should I do?

2.The section highlighted in orange is the Layout Name. If I enter it on two lines, where can I adjust the line spacing?

• You need to set the bottom hairpin to stop before barline. You can set this locally in the Properties panel (Barline interaction>Stop before):

2. The section highlighted in orange is the Layout Name. If I enter it on two lines, where can I adjust the line spacing?

• It is not the best method, to enter that layout name manually. Instead use the layoutname token in the First page template, then rename the layout inserting a line break at the desired position (writing the text in a text editor and then copy and paste it in the layout name field in Setup mode). You can then adjust the desired leading in the corresponding Paragraph Style (an possibly adjust the bottom padding of the border):
