Hairpins Overlapping in Score Editor

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if there was a way in the Layout options to omit overlapping Hairpins in the new Score Editor. I work in the Event Editor when inputting or editing notes and i use the lower Articulation/Dynamics panel to input the Dynamics and Articulation but as is shown in the image below the Dynamics seem to go on forever.

Does anyone have any Useful advice for this topic on how to set a limit for the hairpins in the lower panel in the Events Editor or a layout option in the Score Editor?

Thanks a lot.

There is no layout option that influences the display of hairpins. I don’t follow exactly how you’re creating them in the first place, or what the intention is here. Can you clarify what you mean by the articulation/dynamics panel?

Hi @StefanFuhrmann

Thanks for the reply. Please check the Screenshot below to see what part of the Events editor I was talking about.

If it’s just a matter of a visual thing thats fine, I Use Dorico 5 Pro so not really relying on the visuals of the new Score Editor, although it looks amazingly much better than the old Score Editor. But it seems that the instruments are not acting properly. Just randomly cutting off the sound mid note and then when i stop playback it shows a little bit and fades out as if just the reverb of the instrument appears…

Thanks for the screenshot! When adding dynamic markings in the articulations line of the key editor, I would expect just those dynamics to show in the score. At first glance, I can’t tell why your first screenshot shows several overlapping dynamics.
Would you be able to share the Cubase project file itself, just an excerpt maybe (delete most tracks and notes, but leave dynamics and expression map set up)? You could also send me a private message, if you’d rather not share that in public.
