Simply for the preset sounds would the consensus be that Halion 2 is at least on a par with the Yamaha flag ship workstation?
Halion Sonic 2 is many ways much more powerful than the Motif, but IMHO it doesn’t sound as good. it lacks a bit of “something” and the effects while good, are not in the same league.
Personally I think HalionSonic sounds way better than the Motifs. I was never impressed with the Motifs in person while HalionSonic won me over immediately.
