I wouldn’t call H4 an upgrade or update especially coming from H3. It really feels like a new product.
After getting adjusted to the new interface, not fully there yet, I’m impressed.
The interface feels clunky but there is lots of customizing windows. I don’t like the dark colors it is a little hard to see at least for my eyes. The engine seems to have been improved my samples sound better at least to my ears.
The new 4.5 (in Public Beta) seems to have some impressive adds.
Now I just have to figure out how to get to the Synth part.

To get a synth part, you must create a new zone. In the Zone tab in the upper right area there will be a drop down menu where you can choose whether you want the zone to be a synth zone or a sample zone. You will see the options change depending on which you pick. The synth zone will show the osc sections etc, where as a sample zone will not.
