Well, I’m goin to upgrade from cubase 6.5 to 10.5. I also have Halion 4. Q. Has halion sonic se3 outrun halion 4 stand alone? So the latter is outdated and the only way is to upgrade to halion 6. Or is Halion4 still a nice addition to cubase 10?

HALion 4 is a sampler, so you can create your own samples. HALion Sonic SE is ROMpler, so you can use only samples someone else made for you. This is still the case.
HALion 4 offers more sounds them HALion Sonic SE. You can use them in HALion Sonic SE too.
So I would definitely keep HALion 4.
