Halion 6 Standalone

My Halion 6 Standalone works on my Mac with the license stick.

However, I can’t hear it through the headphone jack, only through the Mac speakers. There’s no option to switch to the headphone jack in the settings.

This problem doesn’t occur with Halion Sonic 7 Standalone! In Cubase Pro 12, it’s also possible to open Halion 6 and listen through the headphone jack. What can I do?

Hi Friedhelm_Kapteina,

Please check the Control Panel of the built-in device. Make sure “External Headphones” is activated.

Cheers,

Jan

Hallo Jan,

Thank you for your answer. The picture you sent me refers to Halion Sonic 7 but not to Halion 6. As I wrote I have not this problem in Halion Sonic 7 where it is possible to do this. But it is not possible in Halion 6. Anyway I found out, that the sounds belonging to Halion 6 appear also in Halion Sonic 7 so I really do not need Halion 6 standalone for to use Halion 6 sounds. Thanks again.Friedhelm

Hi Friedhelm_Kapteina,

The Control Panel should be the same for HALion 6, 7 and HALion Sonic 7. And I would be surprised, if you can change the outputs in HALion Sonic 7 but in HALion 6 you can’t. Please don’t hesitate to send me a screenshot of the Control Panel in HALion 6.

Cheers,
Jan

Here the screenshot.

Tank you.

Friedhelm

In your screenshot the tab for the ASIO Driver is selected, the screenshot from Jan shows the Advanced tab, right next to the ASIO Driver.

Here is the other screenshot.

Hi Fredhelm_Kapteina,

Why are there two built-in devices listed? Is the control panel the same for both?

Are you running macOS 26 on your machine? Please note, that HALion 6 is only supported up to macOS 13.

Cheers,

Jan

Hallo Jan,

Thank you for your answer. I don not know why there are two built-in devices listed.

On my Mac is running macOS 26.1. Thank you for this information. Now I understand why Halion 6 standalone is not running on my Mac.

Many greetings

Friedhelm
