HALion 7.1.20 and HALion Sonic 7.1.20 Maintenance

It’s a weird one. I was unable to put my system in a similar state.
My best bet, at this moment is either the Media Bay database or the Media Bay itself.
As @Jan_Riesener already pointed out, make sure everything is up to date.
Be patient with the Steinberg Download Assistant, sometimes it needs a while until available updates show up.
We just released HALion 7.1.20 and the Media Bay was updated not too long ago.

If you open the plug-in and click on the HALion Logo, in the top right corner, you should see the about screen. At the bottom, it lists the HALion version as well as the Media Bay version.
This is my current installation:

If this looks good on your system, but you still have trouble, try renaming the current Media Bay file, this way you have a fresh start once you start HALion again.
Mac:
~/Library/Preferences/Steinberg\ MediaBay\ Server/mediabay3.db
Win:
%AppData%\Local\Steinberg\Steinberg MediaBay Server\mediabay3.db

Be careful with that file, it contains all your ratings and manually edited metadata.

thank you for taking the time for my problem. I have everything up to date. rename the file, it remains identical on the other hand the file “SteinbergMediaBay” is not in /Library/Preferences/Steinberg\ MediaBay\ Server/mediabay3.db but in Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Mediabay. it is an application that for me is 201MB
does it have a localization problem?
I have not yet noticed that some Synths were empty. for example: “Voltage” I have the icon but nothing in it in factory, 4 in User but I have the sounds !!!

That application IS the Media Bay. Do not touch that.

~ extends to your homefolder.

The full path would be like below, replace YOURUSERNAME with, well, your username

/Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences/Steinberg Media Bay Server/mediabay3.db

I don’t have this file

That might be an explanation.
What Media Bay version do you have? (like in my screenshot)

Mediabay 1.2.20.32
Halion 7 7.1.20.775(64bit)

Looks good, so we can rule out an outdated version.
Are you sure you do not have a mediabay3.db file in local or global preferences folder?

no I don’t have this file

any idea?

even after the Mediabay update (you never know what is modified by the way!!!) nothing has changed

I just added Materials Metal & Ice. It’s the same as certain banks don’t appear in the mediabay!!! I searched by keyword and found Init Metal Ice and since I don’t have a list of sounds in the bank I can’t even use it. This problem is really starting to piss me off

Hello,
This was already checked. I did it again from scratch and nothing changed.
I already reinstalled Halion 7, which didn’t change anything.
