HALion 7.1.50 update is now available

Hi Florian and thanks for the help. I just did it, but no idea what should happen.

Everything is as before. However, the ContentManager.xml file in the folder ~user/Library/Preferences/Halion7/ was not recreated after deletion.

P.S. now there, seems it just took a while

It should reduce the crashes and fix most of the MediaBay issues. If this did not help, we have to wait for the fix of the MediaBay probably somewhere next week. We are also working on a solution for the readability of the text. If you opened a support ticket, we can also have a deeper look into the issues you are experiencing.

Same problem here after the update under Macos 26.2.

Halion 7 standalone takes ages to load and after that I only have the free Glockenspiel. Everything else is gone but to be seen in the Library Manager.

Any trick so far or better just wait for the fix?

Within Cubase:

  • long loading-time of Cubase 15 (stays long at loading Mediabay)
  • loading time for a project also takes a long time
  • then Halion is same as in standalone: just Glockenspiel available

Happy musical weekend :harp:

Yeah, the trick so far was to restart the computer.

Ups didn’t try that

After Restart everything works - thank you!

@Florian_Haack

Thanks a lot! Florian!

It’s very helpful!

I had the same issue with Groove Agent 6 SE, but it was solved!

We just released a Hotfix to take care of the issue. You can find the update HALion (Sonic) 7.1.51 now in Steinberg Download Assistant.

All the best,

Florian

There is still a nasty bug, with the loader windows. After loading a multi-program, all loader buttons open multi-program loader then. E.g. no chance to load layers from the tree window’s context menu “Open to new layer“. Instead the layer load window it opens the multi-programm window then. The same, when you click the load button from program tab oder table tab. It’s all stuck in opening multi-pogram loader window then.
