Why some instruments don’t respond to MPE, for example Electric Bass or M(T)Guitar, The Orchestra Colors etc? It works as expected with all the synths, Iconica (all versions), Olympus choir, Studio Strings etc.

Not every instrument in HALion is automatically assigned to MPE. But please be more specifric, what exactly means “some instruments don’t respond”?

In every instrument, by default, Aftertouch is assigned to Volume and PitchBand is asigned to Tuning. These default assignments work in many instruments, both synths and sampled. But in some instruments (e.g. Electric Bass) MPE PitchBend and Aftertouch do nothing.
OK, I figured out the issue is not with MPE itself, but with Note Expression. MPE seems to be simply mapped to NE internally and some instruments/patches don’t respond to default Note Expressions. I thought that Volume and Tuning should just work out of the box. But it seems that those are somehow disabled at the script level for the patches where they don’t work. For example, when I delete or bypass the script from Colors Free program, Tuning (MPE PitchBand) starts working.
