Since upgrading to Halion 7.5 a new glitch has appeared. When I load an Eagle piano for instance, the track will suddenly change to a different track while I’m playing. It does this every few minutes, interrupting my flow. If I switch pianos to a Native Instrument for instance the problem does not occur. Help me understand. Thank you.
Can you describe in more detail, possibly with the help of screenshots, what is meant by this?
Yes, thank you. So I’m playing along on my A61 Native instrument and suddenly the track switches to the last track I have opened. So I return to the Halion piano and a few moments later it happens again. I delete the last track to see if there’s a secret love affair going on between the two, but no, Halion doesn’t care, it jumps to the next last track in the line. It doesn’t seem there’s any particular trigger note, just random. The screenshots won’t show it happen, merely show before the switch and after with me touching nothing other than the notes on my keyboard.
Hi,
you could use MIDI monitor to check incoming MIDI data from your controller
Reco29 has it! Sounds like your controller is sending messages.
Looks promising, I’ll check it out later and report the findings. Thanks for that.
Yes, there is Generic Remote and Midi Remote in Cubase. Both can be set up to convert an incoming midi message to a command like “select last track”, I think.
I’ve setup the midi monitor and for two days I haven’t had any issues. The only thing I changed was to delect polypressue and aftertouch which my keyboard doesn’t support, but this doesn’t necessarily address the issue I was having. Nevertheless since my actions the issue has not reoccurred. Thanks
Thanks for the update and keep us posted.
There are many potential culprits, hopefully, it was just a glitch.
Does the mouse have a ‘go to last action’ button? May be you accidentally pressed it. Happened to me few times.
