Halion 7 and eLicenser

I purchased Halion 7 Iast week. I purchased the copy that upgraded from Halion Sonic 3. I installed the program and right now the program is working just fine.

However. A couple days ago I got an email from Steinberg saying: “the process of updating has two steps to complete. Our records show that you have not yet completed the second step of the verification process to verify your eligibility for the update.” The second step is evidently activating the program.

To complete this second step I need to get into the eLicenser to finally activate the program.

The problem is I can no longer get into the eLicenser.

This is the error message I get when I try to get into the e-licenser.

“eLCC.exe System Error: The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.DLL was not found. Reinstalling may fix the problem.”

Note that I have never had trouble getting into the e-licenser. Also note that I did try to reinstall the eLicenser with no luck.

So what do I do now? I’m baffled? Any suggestions?

Did you enter a Download Access Code in the Steinberg Download Assistant?

What do you see in the Steinberg Activation Manager?

What do you see in your MySteinberg account under both the eLicenser and Steinberg Licensing tabs?

Try to reinstall ‘microsoft visual c++ 2015 to 2022 redistributable package (x64)’ to fix the eLicencer issue? Follow this link:

Please, @Nickeldome, do not post links that try to start automatic downloads.

Normally I would totally agree with you? But in this case I also provided the full name of the Microsoft package to install. So it’s up to the OP to decide to look it up for himself or use the direct download link?

Fair enough.
