Hi. I uploaded a sample instrument in Halion 7. When I hit the Halion 7 keys with the mouse the meter registers but there’s no audio emerging from cubase 13. I’ve used Halion on projects previously and didn’t have this problem.
I have found that in many of the Halion sound samples… what I see as the Modulation wheel actually works as a velocity or volume controller. Try turning it up from its lower position.
Hi,
It’s not Volume, it’s Expression.
Many thanks all. I tried the wheel thinking the same but no joy there either. I opened a few other files where I used that same Halion file. I recreated my own upright piano and all worked fine initially on the projects I used them on. But when I opened them today to check they were either missing most the notes or no audio altogether. The meter levels are registering perfectly. I created other sampled instruments on projects which were working ok. I remade the piano from scratch dumping in the wav files and no joy with the audio there either. All a bit bewildering🤔
Hi,
Did you get the missing files message?
No there was no missing files message thanks Martin. All the files are present and correct as seen on the panel on the right. Maybe it’s some problem in the connection with cubase. When I click on the notes they obviously play as the meter registers them. K
I think it’s a reinstall of Halion. The notes are going crazy. At least now the notes for whatever reason have started playing on the Halion keyboard. But when I press certain notes a different note plays. Volumes can be random too. Completely messed up. Still no volume via the cubase channel. Jaysus. Can’t even call it a learning curve.
