Logic X now has an auto sampler plugin which has play and resamples / map automatically. it’s very handy, even RR , the problem is it has a new auto naming method and HALIon 7 is reading the sample names from the patch incorrectly, I have tried these patches with decent sampler and also Translator and they work fine , so its 100% not the patch , see below HALion is looking for the wrong sample names , it is however, mapping and reading the correct RR and note placement.

thanks to your provided demo files it was very easy to reproduce the problem. It’s now in our Defect-Tracking-System and listed as Bug-ID “ HALLY-10540”. I hope we can provide a fix for it soon.

I ran into a lot of issues as well. The FIX that worked for me is not naming things beyond 8 characters.
Why this works? Logic’s sampler is old as dirt…regardless the skin the put on it. Use super short file names when you Auto Sample.

Yep, I was pretty shocked that it had issues with that. ESX is an old as dirt sampler. Short names for everything and you should be set. It’s kinda hard going back and renaming all those samples.

Ability to load patches from ESX autosampler , Amadeus-e.d.p is saying it’s related to long names in the ESX samples ?
Have you tried it yourself? Was fixed with version 7.1 and I can‘t see a problem here.

Hi Gerrit , import the samples with longer names is fixed . but I have been auto sampling with RR , and Halion 7.1 is not seeing this its playing all the Layers at once , its not a massive detail to fix manually, but I wondered if this is something you’re aware about image below is how I am addressing this
If the import of Round Robin Instruments worked with the EXS24 before, there is a good chance that we can fix that soon.
Otherwise it would be a “feature request” and I’m not sure if it will ever happen to be implemented.
