Hi, just reporting that the maintenance release of Halion 7 has not fixed the previously reported bug whereby when you right-click the Filter window in a Wavetable zone, the software crashes. Furthermore, right-clicking the Filter window whilst a wavetable is loaded means that Halion (when rebooted) shows only a tiny, minimized version of the window that needs to be manually resized.
Crash confirmed (HALion 7.0.10, Win10 22H2, HALion Standalone and Reaper 6.80).
However I don’t experience the minimized window on HALion reboot.
Just to be clear, it’s the Filter window or section that’s minimized, not the whole Halion GUI. And only if there was a loaded wavetable at the time of the crash.
Thanks for the clarification about the filter window minimization.
I experimented a bit, in both HALion standalone and Reaper contexts, but could not reproduce the filter window minimization.
I wonder if the difference has anything to do with workflow and screensets. In general I use screensets heavily, but for this test I restricted myself to my default screenset.
Hi @PeterRees11 ,
thanks to your description I could at least reproduce the crash, experienced with HALion 7.0.10 standalone as well as the VST plug-in in Cubase 12.0.60 (on Windows 11 Pro, 22H2 build 22621.1848 ).
Cheers,
Markus

That’s interesting, because you get a crash warning and I just get an immediate shutdown with no message. Still, clearly the same bug at play.
