Halion and Groove Agent not working in ableton (saying I don't have a license?)

Halion and Groove Agent are opening in Ableton and then closing saying I don’t have a license. I own a registered version of Cubase SE 11, which comes with Halion and Groove Agent why am I not able to use it in ableton?

Those are stripped down versions that come bundled with Cubase & they only work there (I don’t think they even have any license). If you bought the full version of those VSTi’s then you’d have a license that should work everywhere. And the full versions do a lot more than the bundled ones.

Err no, both Groove Agent SE and Halion Sonic are VST instruments despite being ‘stripped down’ versions… They show up in every other DAW and host app I have here alongside the full versions.

Live’s had issues with their VST3 implementation since it was first added though… Try the Audio Units maybe…
