HALion family updates available

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of HALion Sonic 1.6, HALion Sonic SE 1.6 and HALion 4.5.2, the latest updates to Steinberg’s popular HALion family.

The updated HALion Sonic versions introduce true multi-core support and now feature the superior MorphFilter audio effect in the FX section. Plus, HALion Sonic 1.6 comes with a convenient multi-loading option. The HALion 4.5.2 update resolves several user-reported issues.

All HALion updates are now available free of charge from the Steinberg website. For detailed information on all fixes and enhancements, please check the corresponding version histories on the download page.

All very new to me this - including using a Forum! I have Cubase LE5 working fine with a Tascam interface. I have been playing with the Halion One virtual instruments and my midi keyboard but I’d like to have more choice of instruments and sounds now - not just a choice of 2 pianos! Can I download additional sounds from the Steinburg website (like you say in your post) for free? Will they all work or have I to keep to only ones for LE5? or do I have I to buy them?

More sounds for HalionOne: http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/sounds_loops/vst_sound_instrument_sets/synthesizer.html

If you’re looking for superior piano sounds:

or

There are many more.

I have Halion One. It came with my LE4 version (which I have up-graded to 4.1.3) or something like that. May I up-grade this version?
Thanks,
Ed

No.
HalionONE isn’t a part of the “Halion” family persay, and HalionSonic SE is only included in the Cubase 6 line.
If you wish to upgrade, you’d have to purchase either HalionSonic or Halion 4.
