I have to have a bit of a moan. I bought Halion 7 while it was on sale, mainly to play back my old SoundFont libraries. I also have some old WAV files from the Yamaha DB50XG board that I want to turn into a sample instrument (and have already started doing so). What really bothers me about Halion is the GUI. Everything is so cluttered, the icons are far too small, and the color scheme (light gray on a black background 
) is terrible. It’s simply no fun to work with. In contrast, when I open Omnisphere 3, I’m instantly inspired to try things out. I can read everything there, too—even without glasses (I’m 61). Is it just me, or does Steinberg need a GUI designer? I know it’s a matter of taste, but if I can’t read anything and constantly have to hunt for functions, that’s not exactly ideal (in my view).
That’s the price you pay for all that power and flexibility, and all those synth engines and features. Not to mention an actual, real sampler.

Thanks for the tip regarding scaling 
everything is much easier to see now. Still, the GUI isn’t exactly inspiring (to me). It’s simply not nice to look at. But oh well, I guess I’ll have to get used to it. My DAW (Nuendo) is already mostly dark, and now Halion is too. At this rate, I’m going to get depressed
