Halion - no license - solved

After a fresh install on mac studio, everything works as it should. However, when I open Halion Sonic (this is the only one I have to choose from - I’ve never bought Halion) I get a message that says: "No license found - Please switch to Steinberg activation manager for more information) My Activation manager has only cubase pro12 and WaveLab to choose from.
Can you help? I’ve never had a situation like this.
I will only add that I use Cubase Pro12 Rosetta due to UAD plugins (Native version does not recognize UAD yet)

Hi,

Did you install the latest HALion Sonic SE 7, please?

Yes,.
My Library Manager showed it installed (after I did it), and the Halion 7 content as well.

Hi,

Do you have HALion 7 license, please? With Cubase license, you get HALion Sonic SE only. For HALion Sonic 7 or HALion 7, you need a dedicated license (even the libraries of course).

No. I never purchased Halion. Only used the free version. But which one is free now?

Unless the content itself is the one that is giving me issues?

Hi,

Open the Steinberg Library Manager and remove all HALion and HALion Sonic libraries, please.

i’ll try but I’m not sure if this is possible. I see only reinstall option.

I guess I figured out.
I downloaded Halion 7.0.10 but I inadvertently downloaded the content of Halion Sonic 3 and that was the cause of the problem.
After cleaning and selecting the content correctly, everything works as it should.
Thanks a lot - again…

I would like to just clear out.
I installed verve, trip, flux and orchestra (I bought it long time ago). What else can I install for free for Halion?

You can install all the content in the Cubase Pro 12 section in Steinberg Download Assistant and all the content you have separate licences for. Everything else will require an additional purchase.
