HALion Sonic Crashing Cubase 6.5

I’m finding that if I use HALion Sonic (the full version, not SE) and close a project it quite frequently crashes Cubase (32 & 64 bit) when I try to re-open it. This problem has occurred before 6.5 but seems to be more common after the update.

I’ve uninstalled an re-installed Sonic but the problem persists.

I’m running Cubase 6.5.4 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine with 6 gig of RAM although I often work in 32 bit for plug in reasons. I also have an Akai MPK49 midi keyboard attached.

No joy unfortunately, it just started crashing when the plug in folder re-scanned.
