HALion Sonic Instrument won't install on Mac

Cannot install “HALion Sonic 7.1.0 - Instrument” from Steinberg Download Assistant. Getting a message that says “Installation failed due to an unknown error.” It also says that I can open it manually by clicking the installer file in the target folder, but the folder is empty (no file to click). Just started with Dorico (5.1.51) after moving from Finale and trying to get everything set up properly. I am running macOS Monterey 12.7.6 on a desktop Mac.

What if you download the HALion Sonic 7 installer via our website? Does that succeed?
