Halion Sonic SE and Groove Agent SE problems

Hi,
I have trial version of Cubase Elements 8 LE AI and nearly given up to get it working on 64bit Windows 7

Halion Sonic SE has no instruments.

Groove Agent SE has drums, but no patterns

I have re-installed Cubase and installed the latest patch. I also tried to run msi fro
Cubase LE AI Elements 8 for Windows\Additional Content\VST Sound

Any advice, please?

Try uninstalling these plugins and their content, then run the Cubase installer again. Disabling any antivirus protection (Windows Defender/Security Essentials, etc) and running the installer as administrator might help.

This seems to fix this issue in most cases.

Hi and welcome,

You cannot see any content in the HALion Sonic SE, because you set your filter to 5 stars (red 5 in the upper left corner). The default library has 3 stars. Click to the star (which means all ratings), and the sounds should appear.

Halion now works, and Groove Agent - mostly…

In Groove Agent, when I “Load kit with patterns” - most of kits don’t have patterns, but some do.
For example, “Techno Kit 01” has pattersns, but “Banger CD” or “Chartbreaker” only has sounds but not patterns. Is that normal?

Yes, some of these kits are from the older Groove Agent One, which didn’t have patterns like Groove Agent SE 4 does.
