Halion Sonic SE: Missing Samples

Just loaded up an old CPR. I get the black/yellow dialog box

“Some audio files are missing”

What’s weird is that -some- patches work fine.

Anyhoo… how do I fix this? (I have all my prior Cubase CDs but I can’t even remember which version of Cubase it originally came with.)

TIA,

—JC

Hi,

If it was HALion Sonic SE internal content, then it’s part of the latest HALion Sonic SE installer. No content has been removed sinc the very first HALion Sonic SE release. But I would expect, you have installed the full content. So I would expect, these sounds come from some extension (VST Sound Set).

Hi Martin,

One missing sound is ‘Hard Strings’… a fairly typical orchestral strings patch. I never purchased any additional content if that’s what you mean.

Do you recall which version of Cubase has the installer? Maybe I can re-install from that.

TIA,

—JC

Hi,

Every Cubase version has the installer. Install from the Full Installer, please.

Didn’t you use any Trial (HALion Symphonic Orchestra)?

I have the full (not demo) version of HSO 16 bit. What does that matter?

I have a similar problem. Many drum kits are missing but others load normally.
