Just wanted to express my dissatisfaction that HALion Sonic SE was one of the worst installation experiences I have ever had.
I had purchased Baltic Shimmers so I needed HALion Sonic SE.
I am very experienced.
Issues:
1] Two versions exist on Steinberg website:
HALion_Sonic_SE_3.1.10_Installer_win.exe
HALion_Sonic_SE_3.4_Installer_win.exe
What looks like the older version (3.1) is the one that actually worked for me.
2] My elicenser Control apparently was out of date. Took a while to figure that out. Most other vendor’s “software activation control centers” update themselves automatically or prompt for update when one exists.
One you have two problems that exist at the same troubleshooting can easily burn up a lot of time.
