I’ve recently come across a problem where the Halion sounds are only accessible on a local Admin login, not as a networked user. We’ve not had this problem before as we’re mostly running Dorico on OSX, however we have a few PC’s that I’ve recently installed onto.
We have a Windows network with server based users. When installing the two Halion sound packs I’m certain I ticked the “install for all users” dialogue box. The files missing from user accounts are from here: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\
We’ve solved the problem by manually copying the contents of this folder to a networked user’s local profile. I then copied the contents of this folder to: C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\ so each new login should now have access to this.
I’m not sure if you have come across this problem, but I thought logging it here would be good.
