When I try to import midi tracks I can’t hear anything, if I try to add an instrument track, instrument track config says no instrument and below says ‘missing plug in HALionOne’. Does this mean I’ve not got HALionOne installed, and if so how do I get it.

Mine came on the DVD’s with Cubase 5.0
Either it’s not installed or you don’t have the right path to it for Cubase to see it. Go to your Steinberg folder and check your vsts to see if it’s installed. If it is, then go into Cubase, click devices/plugin information and look for HalionOne. You can then check the path that Cubase thinks that it exists. If that path is different from where you have it in your vsts, then assign the right path in “vst plugin path.”
