Halve note duration (again) (bug? used to work as expected in 3.5)

This functionality of halving and doubling with insert mode invoked is really awesome. In experimenting with the above example, I found that if I plugged in a bar like the original post - a quarter rest followed by three quarters, and then selected the whole bar (including the rest) I could halve all the values by having Insert and Force Duration both on. Once the bar has been altered once, I can switch back and forth between the note value change without needing the additional Force Duration to be on. So it seems that you only need to use Force Duration the first time you change something. I guess that most of the time this doesn’t help much, but it might explain why tbabcock123 gets the result with an eighth rest without Force Duration. If you try it on a brand new bar which has not been messed with, it won’t work without Force Duration. This is all in D4.

Maybe it has to be an explicit rest which you get with the force duration.

If you’ll reread Richard’s post #15, I don’t think there’s any need to illustrate it further.
