Halving note duration without leaving unwanted rests

Hi there. Can’t believe how much I’m enjoying Dorico. It can do anything: every day I’m finding out something else! One thing I haven’t solved, and perhaps someone may be able to help? How can I halve the duration of notes in a phrase without leaving unwanted rests? Many thanks. Hope you all had a great Easter.

So you want to convert four crotchets to four quavers with no quaver rests between them?

Basically… activate Insert mode > select the crotchets > select quaver duration (duration of notes changes to quavers) > deactivate Insert mode

There are some important things to remember (such as Insert mode scopes) but I’ll leave that to the manual!
