"Hangin' On"

Hot off the press…

Hangin’ On
© 2012 Ian Rushton

Glances first greet
In a crowded bar
First chance to meet
It’s the way things are
Settles in her seat
As he plays guitar

He recognised that look in her eye

Hanging on, hanging on every word
A man of the world
With a woman in his sight
She’s hanging on, hanging on his every word

Chorus by verse
His life tales unfold
No need to rehearse
True intentions untold
Seduce and coerce
He’s going for gold

She recognised that look in his eye

Hanging on, hanging on every word
A man of the world
With a woman in his sight
She’s hanging on, hanging on his every word
A smile in his eyes
A blush on her face
She’s hanging on, hanging on his every word

There’s not much she can do now
The dance is complete

He knows that look in her eyes

:sunglasses:

bit of a punk/new romantic mix goin on here, like the lead guitar sound and I think the hangin on every word part could be developed into a much catchier chorus…you just seem to pass it by…pity, but as usual, simply a good song…Kevin

Cheers Kevin,
Funny… a mate of mine just told me he thought it was a really catchy chorus! Go figure…

:sunglasses:

it is a catchy chorus…never said it wasn’t,just think it should be longer,
