Hardcopy of Dorico Manual?

Is there a printed version of Dorico’s manual, or at the very least, a PDF version that could be printed?

You can find PDF manuals on the helpsite from Steinberg.

Just look for the Adobe PDF Icon in front of the links

BTW: I haven’t seen printed manuals for many years now for all kind of software packages.

Steinberg manuals aren’t really written with physical publication in mind: the segmentation into topics works really well for online/digital access (you can land on one page, and more or less receive all the information you need to complete that action; but this means the verbiage is larger due to more repetition).

I also update the Dorico manual fairly regularly (something to do with the constant stream of valuable updates my colleagues put out…) so a printed copy would become out of date rather quickly. And even on recycled paper, I’d start to feel guilty about that!

But absolutely, you can access the PDF version of the latest manual here.

For new users who really want to refer to physical instruction, I’d recommend the First Steps guide: it’s more like 100 pages, and because it’s intended to be read start-to-finish, it works much better in physical form than the reference manual.

It’s only 1923 pages. You’ll be looking at a pile about 4 inches (10cm) thick, which is beyond the binding capabilities of most things.

You’d could use two lever-arch files, but they are rubbish for flipping through.
