I’m new here, but have been using Cubase for many (mostly problem-free) years now.
Today I’m encountering a problem with synth program changes via MIDI, which only seems to occur when I press 1 on my keyboards keypad, to go back to the left locator position in the arrangement.
Basically I’ve got a MIDI part which is going into a DSI Mopho X4, via my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (a setup which hasn’t previously caused any issues). I’m working on the synth while the part is playing through, changing attributes but if I press 1 on the keypad to go back to the start, the Mopho goes straight back to another patch (always the same one, I’ll add). I’m baffled!
The MIDI channel is not set to a particular bank or patch, and there is absolutely no MIDI program data in the MIDI part. I’ve tried copying and pasting the notes into a new MIDI channel, in case the original one is somehow ‘bugged’ but to no avail.
If anyone is able to shed some light on this, please do so as it’s incredibly frustrating.
