I’m confident that I can create this gliss lines in the score in engrave mode, but I would love to hear them in playback as well. What is the best way to hear them as this would sound in the score?

Method 1:
you could write the exact notes in a hidden different voice, using hidden tuplets, and adjust the end position of the gliss. lines and suppress their playback:

Method 2
create just the start and end note of every gliss. in a new voice, apply the gliss, in Write mode. Hide noteheads, accidentals and ledger lines and adjust the end and start point of the gliss. in Engrave mode accordingly. Put the Voice column index of the first hidden d# to 0. Remove the unwanted rests with Edit/Remove rests. Make sure to change these properties in Globally. Put Note Spacing change and Note space change reset:
