Can anyone help me create a little diamond notehead on a staff which does not interfere with the existing note values? This would be to indicate to lever harp players when to flick a lever.

Do you mean something like at attached picture? Right-click to the note and select Properties.
Thank you, yes that is exactly what I mean. I know how to create the notehead but how do I place into into the bar without affecting any of the note values/rests in the bar?

I’m not with Cubase right now. But if I’m right, you can change it in the Set Note Info. You can change the Type. Or you can make another voice out of it.
