I just saw Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 a few weeks ago and I loved Alexandre Desplat’s work on the film. I remade Lily’s Theme and posted it to Youtube when the movie first came out:

I got such a positive response from Lily’s Theme and got quite a few requests to do another Potter piece. After seeing the movie I decided to do Courtyard Apocalypse and set it to the video from the film.

A magnificently simple piece that truly captures the desperation of the scene.
I used LA Scoring Strings, Vienna Instruments Special Edition, Cinesamples Cinebrass, Project SAM Symphobia, Wallender Instruments (WIVI), and East West Quantum Leap Storm Drum.
