haha, great, so it isn’t just me. I have been loading Cubase 5 and 6 back and forth all morning trying to compare the two to each other. I even looked all through the manual and saw nothing. I really thought I must be going crazy to miss what you seem to have found. I believe in the past people were complaining that loaded VSTi themselves couldn’t be renamed in the rack. If you had multiple instances of the same instrument in different slots they all looked the same, I believe Sonar etc can actually have the loaded VSTi itself renamed in the rack where as that cannot happen in Cubase. My memory is a little vague on the subject but I believe this may be what was mentioned in previous versions.
So I take it this is settled and there is nothing to see and do in Cubase 6 that Cubase 5 couldn’t already?
