Yes +1 from me; why not…
Though, its ingrained here to have left-hand first finger, lying on the ‘J’ key to toggle Snap. I don’t know about you but this ‘works’ better for me when using for example the Range Tool too - seems to fully turn on/off Snap (even with the CTRL modifier, the Range Tool still ‘snaps’ one side of its area to the nearest snap setting; annoying).

I just find it convenient to have consistent controls across the program since most, if not all, size operations respond to “Ctrl”.
Let’s wait and see what happens…
