Have no MIDI monitoring while playing MIDI Controller or OnScreen Keyboard

All MIDI tracks work properly but while I write or press the controller the vst rack does not play.

  • Tracks set: input: “All MIDI In” - output: VST Rack


  • VST Rack - channel 1 - same as track


  • Tried with both instrument and rack


  • MIDI Controller registers in side meters upon hitting a note

Cubase 10.5 Artist - previously Cubase 7.5(LE) where everything worked properly

Is any MIDI/Instrument track Record enabled? Where is the MIDI track routed to? If this is a Virtual Instrument, is any sound loaded already?
