I am trying to install Doraco Pro 5 Trial on my Windows 10 system. After installing th Steinberg Download Assistant, I am not able to find Doraco Pro 5 Trial at the left panel (please see screen shot). So I download the Doraco Pro 5. However, after that I am given an error message while trying to install. What has went wrong?
So, did you try starting the installer manually, as the dialog says?
When I tried to open the folder via the Open folder button, it brings me to my document folder and the installer files are no where to be found. I also cannot find them in the folder where I set in the settings.
The reason is your target folder. The folder “Program Files” is a Windows system folder and under No circumstances meant to be used as a Standard Download Location.
It is usually owned by the system and read only. Modify that target to something in your personal area and the Download will work.
No, I have selected the download location as C:\Download\Steinberg. But the files are not found there too.
Btw, why is Dorico Pro 5 Trial is not seen in the download list?
Oh, you may be right. Deleting and redownloading now. Will get back to you.
There is no specific Trial software. You just get the software as it is and the license will decide what kind of release you will have. In case of a trial license you will see in the Activation Manager (a tool that will be installed as well) that you are running a Trial and when it will expire.
