I’m trying to remaster a file in Cubase 15pro
It was originally recorded and mixed in 12 pro maybe 13
No matter what I do I get this strange pumping choking sound from my iPhone 17 and my wife’s 14 speaker speakers
It sounds okay on other systems speakers etc. even Bluetooth headphones
This file was loaded into Cubase 15 pro at its original 16 bit 44.1 and just rendered to mp3 it does the same thing at 48k 24b 32b 64

This file is the same file rendered on Cubasis 3

It sounds fine on iPhones
I don’t feel confident rendering on cubase 15 to mp3
So many people listen to music on their iPhones
I only hear the pumping choking on the iPhone speakers
Can anyone shed some light on this?
I don’t have an iphone, only an Android.
The file from Cubasis seems to lack some of the higher frequencies compared to the first file.
In regards to pumping I don’t hear a difference. Then again, I listened on an Android phone.
Thanks for responding
So that eliminates androids
It only seems to be on IPhones
Unfortunately so many people only listen to music on iphones.
I’m suspicious it’s a phase correlation issue
Which actually brings me to another test I can run !
Dummy me didn’t think to analyze the file that I’ve rendered.Going to do that now will update.
Thank you so much
